Rest for the Soul-Weary 🌷

Rest for the Soul-Weary
🌷Women’s Devotional

 📖 Matthew 11:28
“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

💖 Reflection
Some weariness goes deeper than the body—it settles into the emotions, the heart, and even the soul. Jesus sees the tiredness you can’t explain, the burdens you never voice, and the weight you’ve learned to carry quietly.

His invitation is simple but life-changing: Come. Not perform. Not pretend. Not push harder. Just come.

When you come to Him, He doesn’t offer temporary distraction—He offers rest that reaches the deepest parts of you. A rest that heals. A rest that untangles worry. A rest that lifts heaviness off your shoulders. A rest that reminds you you’re His beloved daughter, not His exhausted servant.

🪞 Reflection Questions

  1. What kind of weariness are you carrying today—physical, emotional, or spiritual?

  2. Have you been trying to hold everything together on your own?

  3. What does “coming to Jesus” look like for you personally?

💐 Takeaways / Things to Do

  • Take a slow moment to breathe and rest in God’s presence.

  • Lay one heavy burden at Jesus’ feet through prayer.

  • Give yourself permission to rest without guilt.

🙏 Prayer
Jesus, I come to You with all my weariness. Give rest to my mind, heart, and spirit. Lift every heavy burden and renew me with Your peace. Amen.
