God Dwells Among His People

“Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.” — Exodus 25:8
π Bible in a Year: Reading for the Day
-
Old Testament: Exodus 28–29
-
New Testament: Mark 7
π‘ Devotional Thought:
From the earliest days, God’s desire has been to dwell among His people. The sanctuary in Exodus points to God’s heart for relationship, not distance. Today, through Christ and the Holy Spirit, God dwells within believers. His presence is not limited to buildings — it is alive in His people. When we live with awareness of His nearness, our worship becomes sincere and our obedience becomes joyful. God’s presence is our greatest blessing and strength.
π Application:
-
Council & Pastoral: Lead ministries that center on God’s presence.
-
Men & Ladies: Make your home a place where God is honored.
-
Youth & Children: Remember God is near and listens when you pray.
π€ Reflection:
Do I live daily aware that God is with me?
π Take Away:
God desires to dwell close to His people.
π Prayer:
Lord, thank You for choosing to dwell among us. Help us live with reverence and joy in Your presence. Let our homes, ministries, and hearts become places that honor You. Teach us to walk daily aware that You are near. Amen.
