“He will also keep you firm to the end…” — 1 Corinthians 1:8
π Bible in a Year: Reading for the Day
Old Testament: 1 Samuel 21–22
New Testament: 1 Corinthians 1
π‘ Devotional Thought:
1 Samuel 21–22 shows David in a time of distress, yet God gathered people around him and began forming a future kingdom. God works even in hidden seasons.
In 1 Corinthians 1, Paul reminds believers that their strength comes from the gospel, not human wisdom. God sustains His people to the end.
A strong church depends on God’s strength, not human ability.
π Application:
Council & Pastoral: Point people back to the gospel.
Men & Ladies: Depend on God’s strength daily.
Youth & Children: Trust God to help you grow strong.
π€ Reflection:
Am I relying on God or on my own strength?
π Take Away:
God strengthens those who trust Him.
π Prayer:
Lord, strengthen us through Your Word. Help us depend on You in every situation and remain faithful until the end. Amen.
