Leading with Compassion

๐Ÿ‘”Devotional for Fathers (Breadwinners & Leaders at Home)

Verse:
“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.” – Psalm 103:13

Reflection:
Compassion is strength wrapped in kindness. God shows compassion not because we deserve it, but because He is our Father. As earthly fathers, we are called to reflect His heart—correct with love, lead with mercy, and embrace with grace.

Reflection Question:
Am I more focused on being respected than being compassionate?

Takeaways / Things to Do:

  • Show kindness even when correcting your children.

  • Applaud effort, not just results.

  • Ask God to soften your heart where it has become harsh.

Prayer:
Father, soften my heart. Teach me to lead with compassion, just as You show compassion to me every day. Amen.
