π§π§π§π§ Devotionals for Church Family
π Main Verse:
“He comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble…” — 2 Corinthians 1:4
π Bible in a Year: Reading for the Day
Old Testament: 1 Kings 1–2
New Testament: 2 Corinthians 1
π‘ Devotional Thought:
1 Kings 1–2 marks the transition from David to Solomon. Leadership changes, but God’s faithfulness remains constant. His purposes continue across generations.
In 2 Corinthians 1, Paul reminds us that God is the source of all comfort. The comfort we receive is not meant to stop with us—it is meant to flow through us to others.
A compassionate church becomes a channel of God’s comfort to a hurting world.
π Application:
Council & Pastoral: Provide care and encouragement to the flock.
Men & Ladies: Be a source of comfort to those in need.
Youth & Children: Show kindness to friends who are hurting.
π€ Reflection:
Who can I comfort today with the comfort I’ve received from God?
π Take Away:
God comforts us so we can comfort others.
π Prayer:
Father, thank You for being our comforter. Help us extend Your love and compassion to those who are hurting. Amen.
