Morning Devotionals for Youth
๐ 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
Devotional:
As young people, it’s easy to be influenced by how others see us—our looks, our talents, our social media following, or our grades. Many times, we end up defining ourselves by these things. But God reminds us that our true identity is not in what people think, but in Christ. When you accepted Jesus, you became a new creation. That means your past mistakes no longer define you, your insecurities no longer control you, and your worth is no longer measured by the world’s standards.
This truth can be life-changing. Instead of living to please people, you can live with the confidence that you are already accepted and loved by God. When the enemy tries to remind you of your past failures, you can boldly say, “That’s not who I am anymore. I am new in Christ.”
Each day, remind yourself of this truth: you are chosen, loved, forgiven, and made new. Live out of that identity, not the labels the world tries to put on you.
Reflection Questions:
-
What lies about yourself do you need to replace with God’s truth?
-
How can you live today with confidence in your new identity in Christ?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for making me new in Christ. Help me to live in the truth that I am loved and accepted by You. Remind me not to define myself by the world, but by who I am in You. Amen.
