Job 1:21

๐ŸŒ… Morning Devotional – Job 1:21
"Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD."

As we rise to a new day, we are reminded through Job’s words of the truth about life: everything we have is a gift from God. Our possessions, health, family, opportunities—all of them come from His hand. Job, in the midst of deep loss and pain, chose to acknowledge God’s sovereignty and still bless His name.

This verse invites us to start our day with humility and gratitude. We may not know what the day will bring—joys, trials, or unexpected challenges—but we can rest in the assurance that God remains in control. When we choose to bless His name regardless of circumstances, our hearts find peace and strength.

Reflection:

  • Am I holding too tightly to things that are temporary?

  • Can I bless the name of the Lord even in loss or difficulty?

  • How can I start today with gratitude for what God has given me?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of this new day. Help me to walk with a heart that is grateful in abundance and trusting in times of lack. Teach me to bless Your name in every circumstance, just as Job did. You are my source, my strength, and my joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
