Zealous for Good Works π§π§π§π§
“...to purify for Himself a people that are His very own, eager to do what is good.” — Titus 2:14
π Bible in a Year: Reading for the Day
Old Testament: Ezra 1–3
New Testament: Titus 2
π‘ Devotional Thought:
Ezra 1–3 records the return of God's people from exile and the rebuilding of the altar and temple foundation. Though much work remained, they began with worship and obedience.
Titus 2 teaches that God's grace not only saves us but transforms us. Believers are called to be eager in doing good, reflecting Christ through actions and character. Good works do not earn salvation; they demonstrate a transformed life.
A healthy church serves others because it has first experienced God's grace.
π Application:
Council & Pastoral: Lead by example in serving others.
Men & Ladies: Look for opportunities to bless someone today.
Youth & Children: Show kindness through your actions.
π€ Reflection:
Am I eager to do good for God's glory?
π Take Away:
God's grace produces a life of good works.
π Prayer:
Lord, help us live as people eager to do good. May our lives reflect Your love and bring glory to Your name. Amen.
