Guarding the Heart
πŸ§‘‍πŸ§‘‍πŸ§’‍πŸ§’ Devotionals for Church Family

πŸ“– Main Verse:
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Luke 12:34

πŸ“š Bible in a Year: Reading for the Day

Old Testament: Numbers 12–13

New Testament: Luke 13

πŸ’‘ Devotional Thought:
Numbers 12–13 shows two attitudes: jealousy and faith. Miriam and Aaron opposed Moses, and later the spies doubted God’s promise. Only Joshua and Caleb guarded their hearts with faith.

In Luke 12–13, Jesus reminds us that our hearts reveal what we truly treasure. Fear and comparison weaken faith, but trust strengthens it.

A healthy church family protects its heart from doubt and division.

πŸ“ Application:

Council & Pastoral: Promote unity and faith-centered leadership.

Men & Ladies: Choose faith over fear in challenges.

Youth & Children: Trust God even when things look hard.

πŸ€” Reflection:
What is shaping my heart more — fear or faith?

πŸ’ Take Away:
Faith protects the heart from fear.

πŸ™ Prayer:
Lord, guard our hearts from jealousy, doubt, and fear. Fill us with courage to believe Your promises. Amen.
