Called to Bless Others
π§π§π§π§ Devotionals for Church Family
π Main Verse:
“I will bless you… and you will be a blessing.” — Genesis 12:2
π Bible in a Year: Reading for the Day
-
Old Testament: Jeremiah 40–42
-
New Testament: 1 Thessalonians 2
π‘ Devotional Thought:
Blessing is not meant to be hoarded. God blesses us so we can extend that blessing to others — in generosity, encouragement, hospitality, and service. When a church or family lives as a channel of blessing, hopeless stories get rewritten. Blessing is practical: time given, meals shared, prayers spoken, mercy extended. The flow of God’s blessing multiplies when we pass it on.
π Application:
-
Council & Pastoral: Intentionally build ministries that bless the vulnerable.
-
Men & Ladies: Share resources, time, and encouragement with neighbors.
-
Youth & Children: Look for small ways to bless classmates, friends, and family.
π€ Reflection:
Who can I bless this week with my time, words, or resources?
π Take Away:
Blessed people are meant to bless others — that’s God’s design.
π Prayer:
“Generous Father, thank You for blessing us. Give us eyes to see needs around us and hands willing to serve. Use our church family to bring hope, practical help, and the love of Christ to our community. Teach our children to be generous from the heart. Amen.”
