Strength in Weariness
📖Devotional for Fathers
(Breadwinners & Leaders at Home)
Verse:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
Reflection:
Fathers carry invisible burdens—financial pressures, work demands, family responsibilities. Sometimes the weight feels too heavy to bear. But Jesus invites you to bring those burdens to Him. Rest does not mean inactivity; it means peace in your soul even while responsibilities remain.
God knows the sacrifices you make for your family—the late nights, the extra shifts, the silent worries. He does not overlook your labor of love. Yet He also reminds you that you are not meant to carry it all alone. True rest is not just physical sleep; it is the assurance that God is with you and for you.
Today, pause for a moment of stillness. Whisper your burdens to Him. Let His peace fill your heart so you can lead your family with strength renewed.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I bring my weariness to You. I confess that at times I try to carry everything alone. Today, I choose to lay my burdens at Your feet. Give me rest for my soul and peace in my heart, so I can love and lead my family with renewed strength. Amen.
