Enlarging Our Tent ๐ง๐ง๐ง๐ง
“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back.” — Isaiah 54:2
๐ Bible in a Year: Reading for the Day
Old Testament: Isaiah 54–56
New Testament: Luke 22
๐ก Devotional Thought:
Isaiah speaks of expansion after a season of barrenness. God's people were being called to prepare for what He was about to do. Faith sometimes means preparing before we see the answer.
In Luke 22, Jesus prepares His disciples for His suffering and establishes the Lord's Supper as a lasting reminder of His sacrifice. The disciples did not fully understand what was happening, but God's greater plan was unfolding.
God may be preparing our church for opportunities we cannot yet see.
๐ Application:
Council & Pastoral: Prepare the church for greater opportunities to serve and reach people.
Men & Ladies: Make room in your homes and schedules for ministry.
Youth & Children: Be ready to help when someone needs encouragement.
๐ค Reflection:
Am I preparing in faith for what God may be about to do?
๐ญ Take Away:
Faith prepares for God's promises before seeing their fulfillment.
๐ Prayer:
Father, enlarge our vision for what You can do through our church family. Help us prepare our hearts, homes, ministries, and resources for every opportunity You provide. Keep us from limiting You because of our fears or past experiences. Amen.
