Patient Until the Lord Comes π§π§π§π§
“Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming.” — James 5:7
π Bible in a Year: Reading for the Day
Old Testament: Job 21–23
New Testament: James 5
π‘ Devotional Thought:
Job continued to trust God's justice despite unanswered questions. His perseverance reminds us that waiting upon the Lord is never wasted. God is always working, even when we cannot immediately see the outcome.
James encourages believers to remain patient and steadfast. Spiritual maturity often develops during seasons of waiting. God uses delays to deepen our faith, strengthen our character, and prepare us for His perfect timing.
A patient church trusts God's timing above its own expectations.
π Application:
Council & Pastoral: Lead with patience during seasons of growth.
Men & Ladies: Trust God's perfect timing for your family and future.
Youth & Children: Learn to wait patiently while trusting God.
π€ Reflection:
Am I willing to trust God's timing even when I don't understand it?
π Take Away:
God's timing is always perfect.
π Prayer:
Lord, teach us to wait patiently upon You. Give us steadfast hearts that continue trusting Your plans even when answers seem delayed. Strengthen our faith and remind us that Your timing is always perfect. Help us remain faithful until the day You return. Amen.
