Trusting God Through Suffering π§π§π§π§
π Main Verse:
“But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.” — 1 Peter 3:14
π Bible in a Year: Reading for the Day
Old Testament: Job 32–34
New Testament: 1 Peter 3
π‘ Devotional Thought:
Job 32–34 introduces Elihu, who sought to offer another perspective on Job's suffering. While his words contained both truth and limitation, the chapters remind us that human understanding is never complete. Only God sees the entire picture. When suffering comes, we may not always receive immediate answers, but we can trust the One who knows the end from the beginning.
Peter encourages believers not to fear suffering for doing what is right. Following Christ may sometimes bring rejection or hardship, but God honors those who remain faithful. Our trials become opportunities to demonstrate unwavering trust in Him and to be a testimony of His sustaining grace.
A faithful church remains steadfast even when following Christ is costly.
π Application:
Council & Pastoral: Encourage believers to stand firm during trials.
Men & Ladies: Respond to hardships with faith rather than fear.
Youth & Children: Trust Jesus even when following Him is difficult.
π€ Reflection:
How do I respond when my faith is tested?
π Take Away:
Faith grows stronger when it remains steadfast through trials.
π Prayer:
Father, strengthen our hearts whenever we face difficulties because of our faith. Help us respond with courage, grace, and unwavering trust in You. May our lives always point others to Christ, even in seasons of suffering. In Jesus' name, Amen.
