Walking in the Light π§π§π§π§
“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another...” — 1 John 1:7
π Bible in a Year: Reading for the Day
Old Testament: Psalms 1–5
New Testament: 1 John 1
π‘ Devotional Thought:
The Book of Psalms begins by contrasting the way of the righteous with the way of the wicked. Those who delight in God's Word are like trees planted by streams of water—steady, fruitful, and flourishing. Walking with God begins by delighting in His truth.
John reminds believers that walking in God's light means living with honesty, holiness, and fellowship. Light exposes sin but also brings healing, forgiveness, and restoration. As we walk closely with Christ, our relationships with God and others become healthier and stronger.
A united church walks together in God's light and truth.
π Application:
Council & Pastoral: Lead with integrity and transparency.
Men & Ladies: Live honestly before God and others.
Youth & Children: Choose what is right even when no one is watching.
π€ Reflection:
Am I walking daily in God's light?
π Take Away:
Walking in God's light brings freedom and fellowship.
π Prayer:
Father, help us walk faithfully in Your light every day. Reveal anything that does not honor You and lead us into lives marked by truth, holiness, and love. May our fellowship reflect the light of Christ. Amen.
