Choose Your Friends Wisely 🌱

Choose Your Friends Wisely
🌱 Devotional for Youth

Scripture: Proverbs 13:20
"Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm."

Devotional Thought:
The people you spend the most time with can influence the person you become. Friends can encourage you to grow closer to God, or they can slowly pull you away from your values. This doesn't mean you should avoid people who don't share your faith; instead, it means you need to be intentional about who has influence over your heart. Look for friends who encourage you to make wise choices, tell you the truth when you are wrong, celebrate your growth, and help you become more like Christ. At the same time, be that kind of friend to others.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Are your closest friends helping you grow spiritually?
  2. What kind of friend are you becoming to others?

Takeaways:

  • Choose friendships that strengthen your faith.
  • Be a wise and encouraging friend.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. Give me wisdom to recognize friendships that help me grow and courage to establish healthy boundaries when necessary. Help me become the kind of friend who encourages, listens, forgives, and points others toward You. Amen.
