Scripture: Revelation 21:5
"He who was seated on the throne said, 'I am making everything new!'"

Devotional Thought:
As August comes to an end, remember that God is still writing your story. Some things may have gone according to plan this month, while others may have disappointed you. Perhaps there were prayers that seemed unanswered, goals that weren't reached, or moments when you struggled with your faith. But your current circumstances are not the end of the story. God is a God of renewal. He can bring new beginnings from difficult seasons and create beauty from situations that seem broken. The promise of Revelation reminds us that God's final plan is one of restoration and renewal. So don't lose hope. What feels unfinished today can still become part of God's beautiful work tomorrow.

  1. What part of your life needs God's renewing touch?
  2. What are you thankful for as August comes to an end?
  3. What are you trusting God for as you enter a new month?

Prayer:

As August comes to an end, I surrender everything that happened into Your hands. Renew the areas of my life that have become tired or discouraged. Help me leave behind what I need to release and carry forward the lessons You have taught me. Give me fresh faith, fresh hope, and fresh courage for the days ahead. Remind me that You are still working and that Your plans for my life are greater than what I can see right now. Keep my heart faithful and my eyes fixed on You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
