“I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.”

Reflection

Being a breadwinner can sometimes make life feel like an endless cycle of work and responsibility. But God sees more than the hours you spend working. He sees the love behind your sacrifice, the faith behind your perseverance, and the service you give to those around you.

Jesus commended the church in Revelation for its love, faith, service, and perseverance. Their work had purpose because it flowed from their relationship with God.

Your work matters when it is surrendered to God. Whether you are working in an office, running a business, doing physical labor, or caring for your household, your faithfulness can become an act of worship.

Reflection Question

Am I working only because of pressure, or am I allowing God to give purpose to my work?
