Proverbs 19:2
“Desire without knowledge is not good—how much more will hasty feet miss the way!”

Reflection

Fathers make important decisions every day. Some decisions involve finances, work, relationships, discipline, and the future of the family. Acting too quickly can sometimes create problems that patience could have prevented.

Godly wisdom teaches us to slow down, seek counsel, pray, and consider the consequences before acting.

A wise father does not need to have an immediate answer for everything. Sometimes the most responsible response is, “Let me pray about it first.”

Reflection Question

Do I make important decisions after seeking God's wisdom, or do I sometimes act too quickly?
