Leaving behind a legacy of faithful service 👔

Leaving behind a legacy of faithful service
👔Devotional for Fathers (Breadwinners & Leaders at Home)

Joshua 24:15
“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Reflection

A father's leadership eventually becomes a legacy. Long after your children remember the things you purchased for them, they will remember the values you lived by.

Joshua made a clear declaration concerning his household: they would serve the Lord. His decision was personal, but its influence extended to his entire family.

You cannot force your family to have faith, but you can establish a clear example of what your household values. You can pray, serve, worship, forgive, give, and consistently point your family toward Christ.

As this month comes to an end, remember that your greatest responsibility is not simply to raise successful children—it is to help create a family that knows and honors God.

Reflection Question

What kind of spiritual legacy am I building for my household?

💐 Takeaways / Things to Do:

  • Pray over your family's future.
  • Clearly establish Christ-centered priorities in your home.
  • Choose today to serve God faithfully, regardless of circumstances.

🙏 Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I dedicate my household to You. Help me lead with courage, humility, faith, and love. May my family see through my life that serving You is the greatest purpose we can have. May the legacy I leave behind always point future generations toward Jesus. Amen.
