Matthew 11:28 — “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
๐ Reflection:
There is a kind of tiredness that sleep alone cannot fix. It comes from carrying responsibilities, worrying about people we love, trying to solve problems, and quietly carrying burdens that nobody else sees.
Jesus knows that kind of weariness. His invitation is beautifully simple: Come to Me.
He does not ask you to fix everything before approaching Him. He does not tell you to become stronger before receiving His help. He invites the weary exactly as they are.
Rest in Christ is not simply physical relaxation. It is the deep assurance that you do not have to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. You can release your concerns to the One who is stronger, wiser, and more capable than you.
Today, perhaps you need to stop striving for a moment and simply sit in God's presence. Give Him the burdens you have been carrying. Let Him remind you that you are His daughter, and you are allowed to rest.
๐ช Reflection Questions:
- What burden has been making my heart weary?
- Have I truly surrendered it to Jesus?
๐ Takeaways / Things to Do:
- Set aside quiet time with Jesus today.
- Write down your burdens and pray over each one.
- Give yourself permission to rest without guilt.
๐ Prayer:
Jesus, I come to You with every burden I carry. My heart is tired, but I know You are my refuge. Teach me to rest in Your presence and trust You with the things I cannot control. Renew my soul and give me Your peace. Amen.
