1 Samuel 16:7
“People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Reflection

Society often measures a man by his income, career, appearance, possessions, or achievements. God measures differently.

David was not initially the obvious choice to become king, but God saw something others could not see—his heart.

As a father, you may feel pressure to prove yourself through what you accomplish. But your greatest value is not determined by your salary or status. God cares deeply about your character.

A father with a humble, faithful, and surrendered heart can make a greater impact than a man who possesses everything but lacks godly character.

Reflection Question

Am I more concerned about how people see me or about how God sees my heart?
