💡 Devotional Thought:
Isaiah begins with a powerful call for God's people to return to Him with sincere hearts. God was not interested in religious activity without righteousness. He called His people to repent, seek justice, defend the oppressed, and pursue what is good.

In Gethsemane, Jesus asked His disciples to watch and pray, but they struggled to remain awake. Their experience shows us how easily spiritual weakness can overcome good intentions. Prayer keeps our hearts alert and dependent upon God.

A praying church is a spiritually watchful church.

📝 Application:

Council & Pastoral: Cover the church, leaders, families, and community in prayer.

Men & Ladies: Establish consistent personal and family prayer.

Youth & Children: Learn to pray before making decisions and when facing temptation.

🤔 Reflection:
Is prayer my first response when I face temptation or difficulty?

💭 Take Away:
Prayer keeps our hearts spiritually awake and dependent on God.

🙏 Prayer:
Heavenly Father, awaken our hearts to the importance of prayer. Help us remain watchful when temptation comes and faithful when difficulties arise. Teach our entire church family to seek You first and depend on Your strength rather than our own. In Jesus' name, Amen.
