A shepherd does more than provide food. He watches, protects, guides, searches, and stays near the flock. In many ways, fatherhood carries a similar calling.
God has entrusted people to your care. Your role is not simply to bring home a paycheck but also to provide spiritual direction, emotional support, protection, correction, and encouragement.
Peter reminds leaders to serve willingly rather than reluctantly. Fatherhood becomes more meaningful when we stop seeing our responsibilities as burdens and begin seeing them as opportunities to serve the people God has placed in our lives.
Your family needs a shepherd who is present, attentive, and compassionate.
