God Sees Your Heart
🌱 Devotional for Youth


Scripture: 1 Samuel 16:7
"The Lord looks at the heart."

Devotional Thought:
People often judge by appearances. Social media makes this even more obvious because we can carefully choose what others see. But God sees beyond the pictures, achievements, reputation, and outward appearance. He sees your heart—your motives, struggles, desires, and character. This can be both challenging and comforting. You don't have to pretend before God. He already knows everything about you, and He still loves you. Instead of focusing only on looking good to others, focus on becoming good within through God's transforming work.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Are you more concerned about appearance or character?
  2. What part of your heart do you need God to transform?

  • God cares about your character, not just appearance.
  • You can be completely honest with God.

Prayer:
Lord, You know my heart completely. Search me and reveal anything that needs to change. Help me stop living for people's approval and focus instead on becoming the person You want me to be. Create in me a heart that is sincere, humble, pure, and pleasing to You. Amen.
