Exodus 14:14 — “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
๐ Reflection:
There are moments when life places us in situations where we cannot see a way forward. We may face problems that seem too complicated, circumstances that appear impossible, or decisions for which there seems to be no clear answer. Like the Israelites standing before the Red Sea, we may wonder, “What are we going to do now?”
God's answer is reassuring: He will fight for you.
Being still does not mean giving up. It means releasing the need to control the outcome and trusting the One who sees what we cannot see. God already knew there was a path through the sea before the Israelites knew how He would provide it. In the same way, He may already be preparing a way through the situation that currently overwhelms you.
You do not need to understand everything before you trust Him. Sometimes faith means standing still long enough to recognize that God is already moving.
๐ช Reflection Questions:
- What situation currently feels impossible or without a way forward?
- Am I trying to control something that God is asking me to surrender?
๐ Takeaways / Things to Do:
- Surrender one impossible situation to God in prayer.
- Resist the urge to panic when you do not yet see the answer.
- Remind yourself today: “God is fighting for me.”
๐ Prayer:
Lord, when I cannot see a way forward, help me remember that You can make a way where there seems to be none. Teach me to be still, trust Your power, and wait for Your direction. Fight the battles I cannot fight and lead me safely according to Your will. In Jesus' name, Amen.
