Pray Before You Worry 🌱

Pray Before You Worry
🌱 Devotional for Youth

Scripture: Philippians 4:6–7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

Devotional Thought:
Worry often begins when we focus on everything that could go wrong. We imagine possible problems, replay difficult situations, and carry tomorrow's concerns before tomorrow even arrives. God offers another response: pray. Prayer doesn't mean pretending that problems don't exist. It means bringing those problems to the One who is greater than them. When you turn your worries into prayers, you invite God into the situation. He may change the circumstances, or He may change your heart as you face them. Either way, His peace can guard you.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What worry have you been carrying instead of giving to God?
  2. How can you turn that worry into a prayer today?

Takeaways:

  • Prayer is stronger than worry.
  • Bring every concern to God.
  • God's peace can guard your heart.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I bring my worries and fears before You today. You know the things that keep me awake, the questions I cannot answer, and the situations I cannot control. Help me surrender them instead of carrying them alone. Fill my heart with Your peace and teach me to respond to uncertainty with prayer and thanksgiving. Amen.
