Deuteronomy 8:18
“But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth.”

Reflection

Providing for a family can carry enormous pressure. Bills need to be paid, needs must be met, and the future needs to be prepared for. It is easy to believe that everything depends entirely on your ability to earn.

God reminds His people to remember where their strength and ability ultimately come from. Your skills, opportunities, health, creativity, knowledge, and work ethic are all gifts that can be used for His glory.

Work diligently, but don't forget the One who gives you the ability to work.

Am I trusting God as my ultimate provider, even while I work diligently?
