The Blessing of God's Word π§π§π§π§
“Blessed is the one whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on His law day and night.” — Psalm 1:2
π Bible in a Year: Reading for the Day
Old Testament: Psalms 107–111
New Testament: Matthew 1
π‘ Devotional Thought:
As we begin a new month, God's Word reminds us that true blessing is found not in worldly success but in delighting in His truth. The righteous person is compared to a tree planted by streams of water—deeply rooted, continually nourished, and consistently fruitful. A believer who spends time in God's Word develops spiritual stability regardless of life's changing circumstances.
With today's reading, we begin the Gospel of Matthew, where we see God's promises fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Every page of Scripture points us to God's faithfulness. When we meditate on His Word daily, our faith is strengthened, our minds are renewed, and our hearts become more like Christ.
A church that treasures God's Word will remain strong through every season.
π Application:
Council & Pastoral: Lead by faithfully teaching and living God's Word.
Men & Ladies: Build your home upon biblical truth.
Youth & Children: Read your Bible every day and let God's Word guide your choices.
π€ Reflection:
Is God's Word my daily source of strength and direction?
π Take Away:
A life rooted in God's Word produces lasting fruit.
π Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word. Plant us deeply in Your truth so that our lives may remain strong and fruitful. Give us a hunger to read, understand, and obey the Scriptures every day. May Your Word shape our thoughts, strengthen our faith, and guide every decision we make. In Jesus' name, Amen.
