💡 Devotional Thought:
Isaiah 37–40 reminds us that human power is limited, but God's authority is unlimited. When Jerusalem faced overwhelming danger, the people had to decide whether they would trust God or surrender to fear.
Luke 15 gives us beautiful pictures of God's heart toward those who are lost. The shepherd searches for the lost sheep, the woman searches for the lost coin, and the father welcomes the returning son. God's heart is not to abandon the lost but to restore them.
The safest place for a believer is in the presence and care of God.
📝 Application:
Council & Pastoral: Make the church a place where those who have wandered can find grace and restoration.
Men & Ladies: Be willing to reach out to family members who need God's love.
Youth & Children: Remember that God cares when you feel lost or forgotten.
🤔 Reflection:
Do I run toward God when I am afraid, or do I try to handle everything myself?
💭 Take Away:
God is our refuge, our Savior, and our faithful Father.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, thank You for being our refuge and Savior. When fear surrounds us, help us run toward You rather than away from You. Give our church a heart for those who are lost and help us reflect Your welcoming and restoring love. Amen.
