🌱 Devotional for Youth


Scripture: Colossians 3:1–2
"Set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."

Devotional Thought:
It's easy to become consumed by things happening around you—likes, followers, possessions, grades, popularity, relationships, and future plans. These things aren't necessarily wrong, but they become dangerous when they become more important than God. Paul reminds believers to set their hearts and minds on things above. This means allowing Jesus to shape your priorities. When Christ is your focus, you can enjoy the things God gives you without allowing them to control you. Your earthly life has meaning when it is connected to an eternal perspective.

  1. What earthly things occupy most of your thoughts?
  2. How can you make Jesus a greater priority?

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me set my heart and mind on You. When temporary things become too important, remind me that my true treasure is found in You. Help me enjoy the blessings You've given me without allowing them to replace You. Teach me to live every day with an eternal perspective. Amen.
