Scripture: Proverbs 4:23
"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."

Devotional Thought:
Your heart influences your thoughts, choices, words, relationships, and actions. That's why what you allow into your heart matters. The things you constantly watch, listen to, read, and think about can shape your attitudes and desires. God calls you to guard your heart—not by isolating yourself from the world, but by being wise about what you allow to influence you. Fill your heart with God's truth, surround yourself with godly influences, and bring unhealthy thoughts to Him in prayer. What fills your heart will eventually show in your life.

  1. What influences your thoughts and attitudes the most?
  2. Is there anything you need to remove or limit from your life?

Prayer:
Father, help me guard my heart carefully. Give me wisdom to recognize influences that pull me away from You. Help me choose what is good, true, and pleasing to You. When wrong thoughts enter my mind, teach me to surrender them to You and fill my heart with Your Word instead. Amen.
